Say goodbye to September.... The month of October is always full of the Halloween spirit, candy corn and jack o lanterns and some of the locals get pretty creative with their decor. Autumn is in the air and soon enough the leaves will start turning those crazy vibrant colors that I love so much.  I can't wait to see what photo's will be submitted during this time and hopefully I will find some great opportunities myself. Greetings, Well here it is the day after. I am happy to say that Louie and I made it through the storm.  We had a few limbs down but no power lines this morning, the yard had bits and pieces of trees, shrubs, flowers and anything else the wind could pick up last night. We are still on lock down until notified differently. The rain has stopped minus a few sprinkles here and there but the wind is still blowing and the air is filled with the sound of sirens going here and there. I know that there are a lot of people without power right now in NJ but fortunately we have ours. The trucks were out first thing this morning looking for downed trees

Greetings from New Jersey! Hurricane Irene is slowly making it's way here. The rain started this morning around 9am with a steady breeze. By 2pm the rain was falling and the wind was picking up. 6pm the local police department was making phone calls and a curfew has been put in place for all residents in this area to not be out after 9pm and currently the rain is pouring, blowing and the wind is gusting. Believe it or not we are still 7 hours away from the biggest part of the storm and then we will endure that til noon tomorrow. The streets outside my home are already streaming so flooding is definitely going to happen. I live about 15 minut
